Can I take The Experience for credit?

ASU students are eligible to receive six (6) engineering, business, or general elective credits upon completion of the full program. Consult your program advisor for more details.

When does The Experience start?

The Global Tech Experience will be offered this Spring Semester. The experience contains two parts:

Part 1: January 9, 2023 through February 26, 2023

Part 2: March 13, 2023 through April 28, 2023

What are Video Lessons and LiveLabs?

The Experience will be broken up into two parts:

  1. Video Lessons are high-quality, recorded online videos and can be completed any time, day or night, but you will need to stay on track with your ASU peers. Learn more about Video Lessons.
  2. LiveLabs are virtual classrooms. Held twice a week, you'll meet with your classmates in a Zoom video chat. Learn more about LiveLabs.

When are LiveLabs?

LiveLabs for all three Tracks will be held twice weekly. Choose between one of the two times:

  • Tuesday and Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Arizona/Phoenix)
  • Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Arizona/Phoenix)

Can I take The Experience if I'm not a current ASU student?

No. For Spring 2023, The Global Tech Experience is only open to current ASU students.

Are there eligibility requirements for The Experience?

All ASU students must hold a 2.0 or higher GPA in order to participate in The Global Tech Experience.

All international (non-US citizen) applicants must show proof of English language proficiency, unless coming from a country where English is the primary language. If your passport is from a country where English is the primary language, you may ignore this online form.

Applicants attending an institution where the primary language of instruction is NOT English must provide evidence of English language proficiency. The English proficiency requirement may be fulfilled by providing official documentation from one of the English language proficiency exams that are listed on our website — please ask for more information.

How do I meet with the teaching team?

To meet with your LiveLab Instructor or Team Lead, visit one of their Drop-In Hours scheduled in your HQ calendar each week.

What kind of help will I receive?

You will have access to on-demand online tutors, coaches to ensure you stay on track, and a team for group work and weekly live discussions.

Do I need to be on campus to participate in The Experience?

No, you can participate from anywhere!

What equipment will I need?

You will be required to have access to a desktop or laptop computer (tablets are NOT compatible), stable high-speed internet, and a webcam.

For Windows, a computer with a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or later is required.
For Macs, a model from 2009 or newer is required.

You will receive all other materials and software licensing.

Do I need to be good at math, coding, or marketing?

No, these Tracks are designed for all backgrounds and majors. Rather than starting in theory, you will start with a focus on real-world application, using tools that remove complexity. These Tracks are not just "open note" — they are "open everything," just like in the real world.
